Taking Pride in Contribution
During the past week, I was encouraged to take part in the Mowgli Mentorship Experience, an experience that I fully enjoyed until I was questioned about what I have learned. I was certain I learned something but it took me some time to frame it in the right words, you must hand it to Ian and Lynn who made the whole learning process feel so seamless.
To me there were two main highlights during those three days in the mountains. While discussing with the mentors and entrepreneurs I kept citing a couple of books I read a long time ago. The first is Mutual Aid by Russian evolutionary theorist Peter Kropotkin and the second is The Cathedral & the Bazaar by American computer programmer Eric S. Raymond. How Do You Keep Your Passwords Safe?

How many passwords do you have to remember? How do you remember your passwords? Do you use the same password for all your accounts?

We have lots of passwords to remember: our personal emails, our Facebook accounts, twitter accounts, our work email accounts, some FTP accounts and much more.  We all know we should use different passwords for each account because if we use only one password everywhere and someone gets this password we have  a serious problem. Like every year PCMag.com published a list of the best freeware apps. Freeware is software that is totally free. Freeware can be open or closed source so freeware is different than “free and open source source software” aka FOSS (in the latter you will have access to the source code of the software if you would like to customize it your way). Lot of freeware  applications provide a good alternative to commercial software thus helping small businesses do lot of savings by implementing the use of such utilities.
