I constantly came across entrepreneurs with a brilliant idea that they cannot share, fault to be stolen and been implemented by someone else.

My response is quick and simple: if you cannot protect your idea, you are better off seeking another one.

So, before getting into a business modeling and/or planning, you better assess well your idea, introducing as many innovation into it, to protect or delay copying as much as possible.

GSVC Local Finalists at Berytech Digital Park

Following the Global Social Venture Competition, 10 local finalists were selected to benefit from a business plan and mentoring academy. In addition, Berytech offered them an incubation for the period of 3 months in Berytech Digital Park’s DigiHive, a very new co-working space.

The target of this opportunity is to give them access to an adapted working environment helping them develop their business plans and be ready for funding. Also, targeted coaching programs will be offered by Berytech and GSVC partners.

IMG_4150Certaines fois je me dis que j’en ai marre d’être une femme moderne à jongler avec l’emploi du temps des enfants et les salaires, les budgets et les supermarchés, les projets et les activités, la nounou et les employés, le pédiatre et le comptable, la fièvre et les échéances, les bobos et les angoisses, les nuits blanches et les jours sans fins.

Certaines fois je me dis que j aimerais bien ne pas avoir l’esprit éclaté, en pop-corn permanent, ne pas être envahie par mon travail en jouant avec mes enfants, ne pas avoir un pincement au cœur en tournage ou en plein montage.

Certaines fois j’aimerais être calme et sereine avoir une vie règlementée, mais quand j’y pense je me dis que je m’ennuierais. Read the rest of this entry →

“Online crowd funding, a powerful tool for social impact”

When you say online technology for social impact, people could think  of social media marketing, getting exposure… What about other online tools that could make huge impact. What if these technologies give the opportunity to people worldwide not only to “like” your cause, but to fund it, be involved in it and build a productive relationship with social actors to solve it?
The US social enterprises and NGOs understood the importance of  these powerful tools such as “online crowd funding campaigns”, their investment in this sector is paying off.
