“Money for nothing” or Dire Straits…

October 25, 2010 in Financing by EBJ

When British band Dire Straits released its hit song “Money for nothing” in 1985 its lyrics were heavily bad-mouthed as homophobic, racist and sexist. Still, that same year “Money for Nothing” won the Grammy for best rock performance by a duo group! Little wonder I say, isn’t money for nothing a universal dream? Well now it has come true…

Imagine a world where you can take a loan without collateral! Imagine there’s no interest! It’s so hard to do, even John Lennon dared not imagine! You may say I’m a dreamer, but I am not the only one. Today any of you dreamers can take a loan for up to four hundred thousand U.S dollars, with an almost zero percent interest rate and over a period of seven years including the first one as grace period! All you have to do is put your dream on paper in the form of a business plan, take it to any bank in Lebanon and prove that it’s not actually a nightmare. If your banker likes your dream, he will transfer your business plan and related documentation to Kafalat s.a.l (www.kafalat.com.lb) which after confirming the sanity of dreams, agrees to guarantee you for up to 90% of your requested loan amount. And the cherry on top is that interest rates are fully subsidized as long as they are below seven percent!

I bet that’s all music to your ears, enough to pull you out of your dire straits…but that’s it for now! I will be telling you more about this next week. Till then, dream on…
